RYNAN AQ-Vibrio Kit: Frequently Asked Questions
-
The RYNAN AQ-Vibrio Kit is an on-site bacterial monitoring system designed to estimate Vibrio spp. levels in shrimp pond water.
The user injects 0.1 ml of pond water onto a prepared agar plate and incubates it at room temperature in a dark environment for approximately 24 hours. After incubation, the plate is scanned using the TOMGOXY® app, which analyzes colony growth and estimates CFU (Colony Forming Units) within seconds.
The system provides structured, digital bacterial monitoring directly at the farm level
-
External laboratory testing typically requires 2–3 days due to sample transport and processing time.
The RYNAN AQ-Vibrio Kit provides pond-level bacterial estimation within 24 hours, reducing response time in intensive shrimp farming operations.
By shortening the feedback loop, farm operators can review bacterial trends earlier and make informed water management adjustments when necessary.
The system is intended for monitoring and risk assessment; confirmatory laboratory diagnostics may still be required depending on farm protocols.
-
Routine monitoring is generally recommended on a weekly basis, or according to farm standard operating procedures (e.g., day 0 and weekly intervals).
If bacterial density exceeds predefined thresholds (e.g., >10³ CFU/ml), the TOMGOXY® app issues a notification indicating elevated bacterial levels.
The data supports early review of pond management practices, such as water treatment strategy, probiotic application, or environmental adjustments.
The RYNAN AQ-Vibrio Kit is a monitoring tool and does not replace veterinary diagnostics or disease confirmation testing.
RYNAN AQ-Vibrio Kit Instruction Of Use
In TOMGOXY mobile application, under “Bacteria Count”. Open the app to scan the QR code on RYNAN AQ VibrioKit agar dish.
Step 1: Scan unique QR code
Use the attached syringe to extract 0.1 ml of the shrimp pond's water sample and inject into the middle surface of the dish.
Step 2: Inject water sample
Step 3: Spread water & incubate
Rotate and tilt the disc until the shrimp pond water sample is evenly spread out. Incubate the dish at room temperature, in dark condition.
Step 4: Read result after 24 hours
Remove cover film. Point TOMGOXY app’s camera to the disc for 1-5 seconds. The system will display instant results.
Step 5: Monitor the analysis
Monitor and take preventive measures to prevent the spread of Vibrio bacteria.
